WOYWW 18th Jan.

Gosh we are more than half way through January and my resolution not to buy any more wool went out the window on Tuesday. Well the weather has become wintery so I need an extra jumper!

Well when needs must!

So this week hasn't seen much action in this house as we have been enjoying unusual warm weather for this time of year I have been out and about. But yesterday we had some high winds and temperature drop.

I finished the crochet slippers but have adapted the pattern  as had difficulty watching and crocheting off youtube. Also the darker wool didn't help so changed to bright yellow.

So that is me for this week watch this space to see how far I get with the jumper!

Now to join up with Julia our hostess https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/  and I am off to my sewing/knitting group and I am late!!

  1. Glad to hear you had a warm up..........heavy snow here the next 2 days, January seems to be the longest month. Love your yellow !! It's the 1st winter I haven't had any crocheting taking up my time. Have fun with the jumper. Enjoy a great weekend. Happy WOYWW

  5. Those little slippers look so bright and sunny, and cosy too, I bet. It's snowing here today, not fun. I think back to al the moaning I did about the heat this summer and now.... DOH! Have fun with the jumper. I am working on one that is cursed. I just keep making stupid mistakes. Ah well. I'll finish it one day...
    HAPPY WOYWW!

  7. Hi Ani, I succumbed too, to some glorious Louisa Harding multicoloured wool. It’s discontinued so I had to buy it - now or never, right? I bought 12 balls, hopefully enough for my jacket.
Love your slipper socks. Have you stuck a nonslip sole on them?
    Enjoy knitting your jumper.
    Take care and happy WOYWW

  9. Your slippers look like the ones I wear to bed!! yours are bright and cheerful. We have freezing temps at the moment.
I have resisted the urge for retail therapy so far . . . . I had a horrific time trying to find a stamp I needed and I found so many, some still in their wrappers that it has encouraged me to shop my stash!!!
Hope your club meeting was good and creative

  10. I think crafters resolutions usually go out the window! My resolution was no buying crafty stuff in the next few months! What was the first thing I did? I ordered crafty stuff! Huh! ;-)

  11. Gosh yes the year is flying already!! Not helped in this house because we are tenterhooks waiting for my daughters house completion date in early Feb and the arrival of my first grandchild. (Hopefully in that order). I wasn't supposed to be buying this month either but I had gift vouchers - so the parcels are still arriving and I haven't finished yet!! Maybe February..... Happy WOYWW. love n hugs Cindyxx #13

  13. Love the bright yellow of the slippers, cheerful and easy to spot when removed! Well done you for adjusting the pattern, I might have already said it’s the sort of stumbling block that causes me to give up and undo! Hope the weather doesn’t stay cold for too long, seems a bit of a cheek after such a lovely December!
