WOYWW 430 29th August

Hello fellow followers, as I sit typing this on Tuesday evening a storm is taking place all around, lovely rain a god send after the long hot summer, thunder and lightening. I am just hoping the electricity doesn't go off as is usual when we have weather like this,

So down to business and what is on my work table this week, well after the big clear up of my work room and finding things I didn't know I had.  decided to finish some unfinished things and this is one of them.

Perhaps I purchased it when my grandson was born I did make him a pooh bear one which he still has. (He is now 12 years old). It will now go on the Christmas fair stall.

I have made a pile of the items I found that needed finishing so am slowly working my way through them.

Found some blue material when looking for the eeyore cushion cover so decided to cut a tabard out from what was left, thought it might appeal to the many waitresses we have here who seem to wear them. I used to make them for the children's hospitals in the UK all in bright children's fabrics.

Also this week some Christmas and everyday bibs.

So that is my contribution for this week but before I go must show you this. Remember the new cats scratching post I purchased back in March well in five months it has gone from this to this.

Have a good week and will try and visit you all during the week. it will not be Wednesday though as I have my knit and natter in the morning and then I am going to watch the Vuelta a Espana (Tour of Spain cycle race) as it comes along part of our sea front here in little Mojacar. (ITV 4 at 8.00p,m)

Now to prepare to link with our host Julia at stamping-ground.blogspot.com

All is quiet now think the thunder, lightening and rain have stopped.

WOYWW 429 (I think)

Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW for this week. Well nothing much on my  desk this week but I spy some floor in my work room, yes I have finished tidying. I have emptied every box in there and now have a mental note of what I possess. Did find more Christmas material than I thought I had so plans afoot now on what to make.

I  know why I have the floor covered I hate those floor tiles, but it is an old house and those are the original tiles. We were going to replace them but as the tiles were in place before the internal walls decided against it.

Oh I did find three chairs in there when I moved boxes.

Clear run to sewing machine now and desk cleared to make some cards

All boxed and bagged
Apart from finishing this mammoth task nothing much to report, but feel now this is done I have some enthusiasm to begin something new, what - I don't know.
All in the planning stage as my late husband used to say when I asked him about a job that needed doing.

The weather here was cooling down or so I thought but this week it has been in the mid 30's again and with a very high humidity which makes it worse.
Did take my knitting and a chair down to the beach on Sunday and sat right at the waters edge where a lovely cool breeze was blowing.

So I leave you with my two lazy cats I often say they are joined at the hip, I honestly don't know what would happen when/if one of them dies. when QC had to stay overnight at the vets Kavvie went around miaowing all night. They have always been together when I went to choose one I couldn't so took them both. Gosh that was 12 years ago.

WOYWW 428 16th August

Good morning Ladies, thank you for your visits last week. Well 'what's on the table Mabel' - who remembers that from a famous radio show?
This is what is on my table today remember I said my workroom needed a clean and sort well yesterday I began.

First pic ah you can see the floor.

Second pic this what was on the floor now on the table.
Now when I have some time not today I need to go through and sort it out.
Then on to the next part of the floor, update next week.

Noticed Spanish Lidl had an offer of pencil crayons and brush pens last Thursday, so went along couldn't believe our local Lidl had sold out of them by midday, so went to another in the next town and all I managed to get were the brush pens. Something told me the pencil crayons were a good buy, should have been there when they opened.

Hope you all have a productive week, the weather here is at long last cooling down well it's only 32C instead of 37C but the nights are cooler so sleeping is better.

Now off to link with Julia at stamping-ground.blogspot.com before I go to my sewing/knit and natter group.

WOYWW 427 9th August

Good morning one and all, sorry for lack of enthusiasm but this heat is beginning to get to me, first time ever must be getting old. We have had continuous hot weather since early June and now with the humidity it drains you of all energy.

This will be short as I have to go to the nurse to test my blood sugar levels at 9.30 then on from there to my 'knit and natter' group.

So for my work desk today or the paste table it is showing my box of Christmas material/scraps. I am going through them to see if I can get some inspiration.

Below is a set up of the items I have so far for the Christmas fairs , not all made by me - a number of the knitted items were donated from my Wednesday group. There are aprons, bibs, knitted toys, cardigans, hats shopping bags not forgetting the pink flamingo he has such a cute face.

Well that's my short and sweet contribution for this week, now to link with Julia our host for WOYWW at stamping-ground.blogspot.com

Have a good week everyone, although I didn't comment on many posts last week I did read them on my kindle but find typing on the device a nightmare and it was just too hot to sit at the computer. Will try and do better this week.

WOYWW 426 2nd August 2017

Good morning all,

Well what a week it has been, I am sure it is getting hotter and hotter, so much now I will not go out after lunch.
I have Windows 10 and have this week installed an update, wish I hadn't bothered, firstly all my passwords went, then a different layout, now when I come to open my blog page kept saying it is searching, well my searching was better and here I am at last.

What we are here for - a nosy into my desk and here it is in all it's Christmas glory, (if only working for Christmas would cool me down). I have been searching the web for little bits and pieces to make and came across these 'Snowman Poop', so what you see is mass production all cut out, scored, taped, etc. At the front are 25 felt stockings cut out for the advent calendar and buried under all that are the triangles for the Christmas tree from last week. So that is my desk or should I say table for this week. Have to work on the table because the fan is overhead,

I really need to get into my work room and tidy up - don't know if I dare show you the state of it.

Everything needs to come out and bit by bit all sorted into proper boxes. Then I could sit at my sewing machine easily and not nearly break by ankle every time I go in there, but it is much too hot to do this sort of job at the present, well that's my excuse. I don't know why I can't keep this room tidy, my card making store room is really tidy everything in plastic boxes.

Ok then, here it is    help!!!!!
