Not much on the table today but I have made a start on some card making. Promised myself this after all the sewing I had done recently. Something about card making makes me relax. The first card I have made is for a friend who does quilting and saw this on Pinterest (see top right) which resembles same. Made one then thought I would do another but different paper.
Second pic is my TV work like to do something when watching TV or I fall asleep. Decided I needed a new Christmas jumper so on a recent visit to the wool shop bought this bright red wool. I haven't managed to finish it for this Christmas but it will be ready for next! I am knitting plain and thought I would embroider some white snow flakes on the front.
So that is me for this week, will be around before weekend to visit you all, I apologise if I don't always leave comments but I do try and read all.
Now to link with our host Julia

Not a clue what to make of the last picture but I can tell you I love that red of the jumper you have been knitting. What a gorgeous shade and will look so lovely with the snowflakes. You could leave them off for the time being and wear it plain.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Neet 2 xx
ps your link does not seem to be working - well it wouldn't for me xx
no, your link doesn't work... came to you from last week... I agree with Neet, the red of your jumper is gorgeous. perfect for a Christmas jumper. Helen #3
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Loving that jumper - will keep you cosy in the cold Spanish evenings later this year. Most of the papers on your desk I have too - but I do have 2 drawers full of papers/card. Perhaps that boat is painted that way to make it less visible - bit of stealth paint? Have a fabulous Three Kings festival. Wish we were in Spain, but stuck in Wales now until April probably. We will be viewing more properties then, as hubby has upped our original budget (although I love a little casita that is only 55,000 euros - so perhaps we will buy that and have more money left to enjoy the Spanish restaurants!). Hi Ani, what a fantastic view to have from your home. The sea is so clear, it looks like it's in mid air! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Well, I love that red wool, it's a great colour and will be perfect for next Christmas. I've not knitted anything adult sized for a while but remember that the sleeves always seem to take FOREVER to knit! I had to zoom into the pic of that boat - what a weird shape, you're right, it really does look like a toy!

At least you'll have a whole year to work on that jumper! I adore those patterned papers for your card making! They just make you drool, don't they - or is it just me, LOL? That ship looks like some sort of ferry - it must be amazing to be overlooking the sea like that! Thanks so much for your visit earlier! Best wishes for 2018! zsuzsa #19
ReplyDeleteOut in Nigeria we used to joke about a container of paint coming inshore so that locals could do some painting ..... maybe it was true!!! The ship looks like it's missing some.
ReplyDeleteLove the jumper!

Love your idea of knitting plain and embroidering the snowflakes...will be looking for it next Christmas! I love the card idea, I could do that many times over...
ReplyDeleteCouldn’t agree more about the ship...looks like it doesn’t know which end is forward!!
Hi Ani, maybe they are painting the ship at this very moment and just haven't quite finished Lol! You've done well to get that far with the knitting, I always used to fall asleep when knitting though maybe that's a good thing as it shows how relaxing it is. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and a very Happy New Year, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteLove the red jumper. That last pic is funny.
