WOYWW 450

Good morning well it is morning although just gone midnight.

Another week in 2018 gone. At last it has been a happy week for me, my daughter and partner are on holiday in Goa and he proposed to her on the beach whilst having cocktails and the sun going down. Very romantic. Of course she said yes, so a wedding to look forward to possibly next year.

I have nothing on my inside desk this week as I have been knitting the dog coats sat outside in the sun. If the sun is shining it is warmer outside than in. Have completed two, a small and a medium and have just started a large one. As you can see my quality controller was checking up on me.

Having no dog to model them I hope they are ok.

That is me for this week need to get to bed, sewing group at 10.00am then Ladies over Lunch in the afternoon. Wednesday is a busy day for me.

Must just show you this with all the talk on plastics this week. I ordered four ink cartridges from PC Components and they came in two big boxes with blown up polythene packing. All four would have gone in the smallest box. How wasteful.

  1. it is staggering how much packaging companies put round their goods - totally unnecessary in lots of cases. It is understandable if things could get damaged in transit, but otherwise, ridiculous! Congratulations to your daughter! Helen #1

  5. Mm, packaging can be quite crazy at times, Ani, I think it’s funny you’re knitting dog coats when you have a cat!
They look great, though, well done.
Thanks so much for your great desky share.

  7. Hi Ani, congrats to your daughter and Fiance! How fabulous. I totally agree about that packaging, it's true that a lot of online retailers- Amazon, I'm looking at you- need to get their act together with plastic packaging.Your supervisor looks to be enjoying his job, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

  8. Congrats on the upcoming wedding! How wonderful it is to see our children grow up to be happy isn't it?! I too wonder about packaging all the time... it's such a waste! Enjoy the knitting in the sun, I wish we had some warmer weather here but it will take a few months or so before Spring arrives. Love from stormy Holland, Marit #22

  9. Congratulations on your son's engagement. I've had parcels like that one too which are wasteful in packaging and contain small items in large boxes. You could always get the quality controller to try out the doggy coats LOL. Have a good week. Saarh #6/26

  10. Sitting outside knitting, sounds good to me. I have noticed that lots of companies are using large boxes for small things, I think there must be a reason so many are doing it. Have a great woyww, Angela x14x

  13. Congratulations to your daughter and her partner! How exciting! The dog coats are looking fab - are you going to make some in "team" colours - like soccer teams? That would probably go over well! I get upset over such wastefulness as well, but they may have come from 2 different places in the warehouse, we don't know. But I'm sure it must jack up postage prices. Have a great week, Lindart #30
