Well only just over a week to the big day hope you are all prepared. I have never been so prepared and why because I am spending the day on my own. No meat to buy and cook, no veg to prepare and all the usual work that goes with Christmas. I have not even put a decoration up, how sad am I. We also like most countries have not been given the final arrangements for the Christmas period so decided it was better to stay at home.
No photos this week as I have put my big work table away after completing the sorting of all my wool. Really pleased as now in bags and labelled. My smaller table I still have up but no craft work on it and is a dumping ground but will be cleared shortly in preparation for a jigsaw a friend gave me.
I am off to my sewing/knitting group this morning then after the meeting we have our Christmas lunch. My third and final one!
Hope you all get your Christmas wishes and manage to see your families over the Christmas period.
LOL! Is this a first? A photo-less, desk-less WOYWW? Somehow, that is the PERFECT post for this black hole of a year.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lunch and stay safe
Happy too close to Christmas WOYWW!

Morning Ani. Wow - I also will be spending Christmas on my own - but I do have some nice meat in the freezer, plus some treats. I had hoped to go to meet the daughters, but felt so unsettled in my spirit that I have said to them I am not travelling. So sad, but, as I said to them, it is one Christmas Day in a lifetime...
ReplyDeleteI trust you will enjoy the jigsaw!!! Hope today's group and Christmas lunch go well.
Take care. God bless.

I do like a good bit of organising and would have liked to see your labelled bags (sad, I know). I’m glad you’re all set for next week and think you’re so wise not to do the mixing thing this year. Hope you have a good week and keep safe and well,

I'll probably be on my own too but will cook a lovely roast dinner . Enjoy xx Helen #2
ReplyDeleteHi Ani, there will only be the two of us over Christmas,so no big celebration here either. There will be lots of roast dinners though, as thats something we both love. It just doesn't have the feel of Christmas this year, I don't think. Enjoy your meal, Stay safe, have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteHi Ani, you're quite lucky that you've been able to go to your knitting group as we've only been able to have a couple of craft and chat meetings this year and no Christmas get together which I've really missed. We are cooking something special for my mother as she's all on her own now for the first time and as we are part of her care team we can at least visit her. I don't feel very Christmassy but I intend doing the best I can for her, she deserves it and the rest of the family are staying away so she wont see anyone else. Stay safe and have a very happy woyww Angela x12x
ReplyDeleteHi! Enjoy your Christmas lunch with your friends and keep crafting! ~ Love, Karen #32
ReplyDeleteAni, your Christmas plans sound very peaceful. I think sometimes we need that and unfortunately the situations around the globe are enforcing that, but maybe we can all look at it from a different prospective and take it as an "opportunity" to slow down and smell the roses, so to speak! Enjoy your final luncheon and knitting gathering time with friends and may you have the Merriest of Christmas's. Blessings, Felicia #31
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your knitting today, and I hope you have a blessed and peaceful Christmas. My husband, son and I have been isolating so that we can see my Mum more safely as she is on her own. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#13)

I hope you had a great day with your friends. Christmas is going to be different this year for a lot of us, but you are in a lovely place for a peaceful Christmas. x Angela #5
ReplyDeleteI hope that the current situation means that you can enjoy a really peaceful Christmas, Ani. We will be with our sis-in-law who is struggling looking after my hubby's bro who has dementia - I think she just wants some normality! It will be a quiet day but we are looking forward to it.

I hope you fill your Christmas day with lots of crafty things, a good movie and the meal of your choice, sounds like a great way to reward yourself this year. Stay safe Tracey #8 x
ReplyDeleteI am so lucky, we are a small crowd (5) anyway, so have decided to just make the best of the big day. I bet you feel a sense of achievement after sorting all that yarn! Have a good week, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #26
ReplyDeleteWe were going to get together with Hubby's sister one day and maybe the grandkidies the next, but are thinking, we may just stay where we are. I found some wool today! Odd, never used.Think I liked the toy on the front cover of the knitting magazine...only, I'd forgotten what all the knitting codes meant! Have a great crafty week.
ReplyDeleteStay safe! Thank you for my snoop! Happy WOYWW
