WOYWW 573

Good morning all,
Hope you all finished your 11th anniversary challenges set by our leader Julia https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

So what is on your workdesk to start the 12th year of WOYWW?

My challenges have been put to one side until I can order some more wools. Although before I could put the rug away I caught QC trying it out for comfort.

On the table this morning it is back to cards, birthday, Christmas, Thinking of you etc.

Still quite a tidy desk but just wait it's only been in action a couple of days.

Last Thursday the weather was so perfect some of my crafting found its way into the sun. It was so peaceful only the chirping of the birds and the sound of the waves could be heard.

The 2nd photo was taken at the end of the day the sea was so calm and I could hear the sound of a fishing boat in the distance.

I am still suffering with a swollen and painful foot and yesterday went back to hospital. The doctor said because of very bad arthritis I could have trapped a nerve, it is now strapped up for a week, then I have to go back to see the traumatology doctor to see what they can do for the arthritis. So watch this space. I am glad it is my left foot and I drive an automatic car so I can still drive!

Today is a very special day it's Wednesday, Sewing Group day, and this morning we are meeting for the first time, then this afternoon the LOL ladies  are resuming their get together. Things are beginning to get back to normal here in Spain. Apart from hospital visits and a visit to the vets this will be my first outing for weeks. Our beaches are now open and we can swim in the sea, not that I will be doing that for a few weeks at least.

Hope you are all well and to those who have been ill you are recovering. Please take care and be aware of your surroundings.

  1. Happy WOYWW and hope you are not in too much pain with your ankle. We started driving automatics about 15 years ago when I was getting a lot of pain in my left foot due to Fibromyalgia. Our campervan is a manual, but I would only drive that in an emergency. Even hubby prefers an automatic now. Wonderful to read that your sewing and craft groups are starting up again. My cycling friends in the Jalon Valley met up at our favourite cafe yesterday, and I nearly cried when I saw them all sat around a table again after so many weeks of isolation. Here in Wales we are still on full Lockdown, which I am glad of. We feel safer here. I did go out to a local post office/shop last week, and have been going to Tesco weekly to collect our big grocery shop. Otherwise we stay on the farm. Ali x #3

  7. That is so great that you can meet with your friends, wow. Must be exciting ;) - Sad to hear about your foot, it is not fun at all to have pain or swollen limps at all. I do hope for a better time for you.
I love QC, he does what cats are best to do. Have a superb day, with a lot of fun!!

Thank you so much for sharing!

    Happy WOYWW

  10. My word wouldn’t it be torture if you couldn’t drive now that the restrictions are lifting. Have a wonderful day with the Sewing group and Ladies who lunch, it’l be exhausting! Very impressed by the treatment and referral for your ankle, cant help but feel that here you might get “and its aggravated by the arthritis so will take longer to feel better’ type of explanation. However and whatever, do take good care and do what the medics tell you! Made me smile to see QC trying out the rug too; knowing that bothe pets love it and that the wool will arrive ‘some day’ will keep you keen! Really like the golf image you’re using for your cards too, Ive got a couple of male birthdays in June so you set me a good example!

  11. Aww sorry you are in pain, I get a little in my knee and shoulder but not enough to go see the gp about yet. My poor hubby gets it really bad and has to have injections, I do hope that strapping it up helps. I adore your view , so lovely to hear the sea. Have a lovely week Soojay #27

  13. Hi Ani, thats a beautiful place you live in and you must enjoy the tranquile sounds. I know I do!
What an expertly bandaged foot, well done by your medical system. I pray the support helps ease the pain and there is good news forthcoming for you. Happy crafting.
    Happy WOYWW 😊
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.

  20. That rug is stunning and I don't blame QC for lying on it!! What kitty could resist that. You have a beautiful view, and I like your striped umbrella. I am so glad you are able to get together with your group again at last - what a special meeting it must have been, and I hope you all enjoyed it. Your poor foot! I do hope it will get better soon.
