WOYWW 570

Good morning ladies on this bright and sunny morning. Hope you are all well and keeping the Covid virus away.

Last weekend here in Spain we were allowed out for an hour a day for exercise as long as it is within 1 km of your home. I must admit now we can go out I haven't been out! On Saturday the paseo was packed with people and I am sure most of them didn't live within 1 km. The police were soon on it and Sunday morning only a few people were walking. Here in Spain we have to carry ID so the police can easily check where you are from. We also have set times for different ages to exercise.

Still no desk as such but I have finished the blanket with a few rows of crochet, it will now go in the charity box so I can post when lockdown finishes and postal services are resumed. I heard that there is a great deal of post held up in Madrid.

The other thing I was doing last week is that pesky jigsaw I will not let it get the better of me. I am at the point now where I aim for 20 pieces a day. It's called Peanut Butter and Yummy I don't even like Peanut butter yuk. The jigsaw came from the local charity shop and I am sure there are pieces missing.

Wow that is some challenge Julia has set for the anniversary of WOYWW I know I can compete but just with what I have so many UFO. Yes think I have got it watch this space.

Hope you all have a great week and keep obeying the rules, remember it is for our own good and good wishes to those recovering.

Here we going a linking up https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

  1. Morning Ani. Strange, isn't it? Not allowed out = we want to go out. Allowed out cautiously = we don't go anywhere! I have to go to the supermarket in the next couple of days... I need to replenish the stock cupboards - getting very bare as I haven't been there for over three weeks. I also have to shop for some specialist foods for a friend who can't go anywhere. I really don't now as I am wanting to go... Your blanket is lovely - so bright and cheerful. Well done. Mine from last week is almost finished now - but I'm working on Julia's challenge, so not sure when it will get done.
Take care of yourself. Stay safe. God bless.

  2. Happy WOYWW. Our friends in Spain have been very excited to get out and exercise. However, a lot of them are professional cyclists, so this is one step closer to them being able to earn money again. I am missing Spain a lot, but who knows when we will be able to fly out. We have some financial commitments coming up in the UK, so hubby has put our plan to buy a property in Spain on hold. We do still plan to have regular holidays once Covid-19 is no longer ruling this world. I suddenly remembered a UFO, so will be getting my needle felting bag out later. Ali x #13

  4. I heard about certain restrictions being lifted, I think many will be like you Ani & take a reserved view of entering outside it will take a long time for many people to gain confidence again. The blanket looks nice and cosy but I have to say i'm worried for you and that jigsaw, I hope for your sake there are not any pieces missing.. Take care & stay very safe Tracey #6 x

  5. You amaze me with the number of projects you can complete from week to week. We are all starting to benefit from a few restrictions being lifted. Enjoy the sunshine and stay safe.

  6. I don't go out much even though we are allowed to Ani. Unless I am posting samples at the PO. I am at work tomorrow which wil be the furthest I have driven in weeks. Great blanket. You have done well with the jigsaw! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

  7. i am not looking forward to going out yet. We do have to go 5 miles to click and collect food but try as much as possible to shop locally once a week - not easy when they are 5 adults in the house. My youngest daughter has just finished her second puzzle - i will have to get one that is a little more difficult.Take care xxSoojay#22

  8. Glad they seem to be keeping control of the people over there...I worry about what will happen here, although part of me longs to get out to go to Kew as soon as it re-opens.. we'll see! I can't stand peanut butter either, not sure I'd have even started that puzzle!! take care, stay safe. Helen #1

  9. I really don't think this is much of a lockdown in the UK - nowhere near as strict as in other countries!! I have only been out once or twice even though we are allowed to. Puzzles are good for these days but I do think it helps if you like the subject matter!! I didn't help hubby at all with the last one, it was such an ugly picture. ! Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18

  10. Hi Ani, does sound as if you have good lockdown procedures in place, it's a bit crazy that it varies from country to country. I'd hope the WHO will be able to come up with a plan that can be adopted world wide, should this ever happen again. Not a jigsaw person, so can fully get how annoying this one is for you. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X

  12. Hi Ani, Spain seems to have taken Covid 19 and lockdown far more seriously than UK. People just don't grasp staying at home, which just means it will take longer to resolve. Great little blanket. I have had a jigsaw on the go for over 5 years, not quite as long as a cross stitch project (almost 8 years), I start and then don't have the patience to finish time consuming projects. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well Heather xx #20

  14. Good to see you Ani...I wondered if the ease on the restrictions would cause a bit of a surge! It will be nice though won’t it, to have a walk now and then whilst things ease back into something more normal. There has been some clogging of postal services here too, quite understandable given that people are isolating. It seems to have been worked out though, so someone has been working ver Y hard. I hope the Madrilenos will do the same! Don’t post your stuff all at once, the collective price will make you faint! Good for you with the jigsaw, doesn’t matter that you don’t like peanut butter, it’s the challenge and I love that you’re not giving in. Funny isn’t it, I have a draw full of half finished craft projects, but I can’t abandon a puzzle. My husband refers to it as arbitrary stubbornness! I forgot to say in the post, don’t forget to take a before photo to go with your after photo if you’re going to take part in the anniversary Challenge!
