WOYWW 530

Another week gone they say you are getting old when the weeks fly by. As you can see from the photos below I am still in the C mode of card making. I have about 50 ready for the September meeting of our Dames in Spain. If last year is anything to go by that won't be enough. I have been trying to use all bits and pieces that I have. Still have all the Christmas stamps that I got from the charity shop to try out.

Stack of Xmas cards

You may see lots of double sided tape on the desk, that is because I went to the dentist on Tuesday (lost a filling eating peanut brittle ice cream) and a new chinese shop has opened in the same block so had to go and have a look. I have cleared my local shop of tape and he said he wouldn't have any more til after the summer.

Couldn't resist this of Barney he stood there when I took the photo of my desk and seemed to say 'what about me'. This weather he sits under the desk in front of two fans I have on. We are still experiencing highs of 30+C but it does feel a little cooler in the night.

  2. Wonderful crafty goodness going on! I haven't slept the night through for weeks - it's just been too hot, even with all the doors and windows open upstairs. It's been awful for our pets, hasn't it? Roll on Autumn!!
    Happy WOYWW :)

  3. It's not even been sunny here but I can't seem to sleep long and have to have the fan on (or the new portable AC unit we just got)
My words, that is a pile and a half of C Cards you have made. Well done you. Mine were started in January for a couple of days and then it stopped. Must get on as i do have some frames cut ready so just need some birds cutting and then the assembling can begin.
Have a good week and hugs to you and Barney.

  5. We have been hot here as well in the Southern US but our minds are wandering to Fall and longing for cooler temps. I'm so tired of watering flowers as our rain has been on again and off again.

  6. Well done on the Christmas cards - you have a nice stash already. Barney looks so cute - the hot weather must be so hard on furry animals - it's not like they can take their coat off. Hopefully it will get cooler soon for you too - nice and cool around here now - hope it lasts! zsuzsa #16

  7. That's some production line you've got going there, Ani! Love the shot of Barney - they love a bit of photo-bombing, don't they. Thank you for your visit last week and I'm sorry not to have got back to you before this - we seem to have been so busy lately. I'm glad you liked my doodling efforts. Red fruit tea sounds awesome for this technique - you should give it a try and show us the results!

    Happy WOYWW,

  8. Oh no, christmas cards? With 30 degrees outside? Must not thing about it! I'm happy it cooled down in the Netherlands, we had heat records overhere and it was really bad as I don't have airco ánd heat flashes of myself (so they doubled!) You must be a miracle women for still be able to create in those temperatures! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #15

  9. I'm with Marit. It's been like that here in the UK too. I believe the hottest temperature was about 40C in London and 38C in Lincoln. This is not normal! and I am pleased it's cooled down now. I do get a bit jittery when I see Christmas cards but well done you. Loving the puppy pic too what a sweetie. Whatever you are do today have a lovely woyww, Angela x13x

  10. Lol at Barney - of course he's the start of the show!! I would have bought loads of the tape too as you never know when you're going to see anymore. I may have done that with fabric once or twice..... ;-)

  11. We've been pretty hot in south central Arizona, US. Fortunately our monsoon finally started and the temps have come down 10* but unfortunately the humidity went up about the same.
I have a few C cards made and just had a Christmas In July card class last week. But I just got some new stuff in I want to play with.
    Barney is a cutie!
    Have a great week!

  13. Barney will be a must have in shot each week now. I'd have done exactly the same with the tape.. the fear of running out! I hope you can make it last with all your lovely CC making. Happy WoywW Tracey #14

  14. Hi Ani, great quantity of cards! we've had far hotter than normal periods for us too, does make it hard to cope. My COPD and the chemo have not played happily with it! Really late this week, spent most of yesterday afternoon in A&E, as the breathlessness wasn't easing off. They gave me IV Antibiotics & steroids, and some nebulisers, which has helped, but it's still not what it should be. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4X

  17. I really must sort out my C stamps and papers.... last year I turned up a die and couldn't remember how to use it. I was so late that there wasn't time to try it out!!!
What a beautiful dog! He certainly knows the best place to be.
