WOYWW 427 9th August

Good morning one and all, sorry for lack of enthusiasm but this heat is beginning to get to me, first time ever must be getting old. We have had continuous hot weather since early June and now with the humidity it drains you of all energy.

This will be short as I have to go to the nurse to test my blood sugar levels at 9.30 then on from there to my 'knit and natter' group.

So for my work desk today or the paste table it is showing my box of Christmas material/scraps. I am going through them to see if I can get some inspiration.

Below is a set up of the items I have so far for the Christmas fairs , not all made by me - a number of the knitted items were donated from my Wednesday group. There are aprons, bibs, knitted toys, cardigans, hats shopping bags not forgetting the pink flamingo he has such a cute face.

Well that's my short and sweet contribution for this week, now to link with Julia our host for WOYWW at stamping-ground.blogspot.com

Have a good week everyone, although I didn't comment on many posts last week I did read them on my kindle but find typing on the device a nightmare and it was just too hot to sit at the computer. Will try and do better this week.

  6. I feel your pain Ani - I can't stand the heat myself - and I call anything above 20 "hot". Nice and cool in the UK - you might want to come back one day! I've heard it's been unbearably hot in Southern/Eastern Europe - my parents were suffering too. Hope it will be cooler next week! Scary to think that you're already getting ready for Christmas - mind you, it will be here before we know it! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #23

  10. What really drew my eye in for a closer look was the wee orange jumper or sweater. Precious stitches!

  11. I moan when it gets about 25, so no wonder you've had enough; I couldn't cope at all (much less knit!) hope you had a great time though. Helen #1

  12. What a nice pile of lovely things for the craft fair! Too bad about your humidity - I am lucky as I am in an air-conditioned room with a fan pointing at me! I have a fan in every space where I sit and do anything! Hope next week is cooler for you! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #30

  13. Happy WOYWW. I hate humidity (always makes me nauseous), so am sharing your dislike of your weather. However, we could definitely do with summer coming back to Pembrokeshire - it has been sunny today, but a chilly northerly wind and it felt more like autumn in places. I started my Christmas crafting recently - but slowly. Still feels too early to get any cards made. Ali x #32

  16. What cute little aprons, love them - know what you mean about the heat as we had it here in the UK May/June and together with hormonal hot flushes it was so very draining. Quite enjoying the cooler Summer now - Thanks for the visit BJ#9

  17. Hope we get to see the stall when it is set up, there are some lovely things to go on it.
Sorry you are feeling the heat - I just wish I could feel some heat at the moment as I have just switched the central heating on. Hope I am not coming down with something.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me, Neet 3
