As promised last week some photos of our International Women's Day celebrations. First starting with my sewing group and a glass of cava yes drinking at 10 in the morning tut tut.
Then moving on to the Dames in Spain lunch at a local golf club.
The beautifully set tables |
All the ladies |
The ladies on my table. The middle lady is our mayor. She supports all we do although she doesn't speak English. |
This was the table prize won by yours truly! An Easter egg and plant. |
So that was my Wednesday last week. Thursday was spent recovering in the sun!
Now for this Wednesday my desk has been very productive mainly because the weather has been very bad - cold, windy and two days of rain, so it was on with the heating and to work. I do feel sorry for visitors who come for a little winter sun and have to endure rain.
This is my desk Tuesday evening reasonably tidy with just the last two cards to put away. Used a little flower soft on one of them.
So here are the products of my labours.
My finished Easter cards |
and birthday cards using stamps, washi tape, old music sheets |
Now to decide what to do next week, some knitting, crocheting, or maybe heaven forbid some housework. You will just have to wait and see. Hope you all have a good week.
no, don't do housework... great photos of your lunch from last week; sounds like you all enjoyed it. Your card production is impressive, too! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

ReplyDeleteMy dad always used to say that it doesn't matter what time you have a tipple - it's 5 0'clock somewhere, right? lol
Have a wonderful Wednesday :)

Glad the celebrations went well and congratulations on your win. I like the use of washi tape on those birthday cards. Sarah #25
ReplyDeleteYeah we (NW France) are having odd weather too - warm and sunny then horrendous storms! If you pick the right two days fab - if not drowned rat scenario... Hence our Play Room for Holiday Makers - for wet days and Mondays.... ( everything here is closed on Mondays) love that you had such wonderful celebration of womanhood, and glad you finished all that craft work....dxxx 13
ReplyDeleteHi Ani, great photos of your celebrations. Wonderful that you all have such a great relationship with your mayor. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxXx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had real fun last week. I have a hate/love relation with organisating, I don't like it to eat away precious time from crafting, but i do like it organized i notice, so i wouldn't volunteer to come to yours, but as it is in sunny Spain, uhmm, .. thx for your visit earlier, Vicky
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of your celebration! Love the cards.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Looks like you had a wonderful time with your two groups last week! Congrats on winning the prize! You certainly have been busy with your cards, well done! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #39
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. I love the name of the group, Dames in Spain. Perhaps I can join you one day, as we visited Mojacar on our last holiday a couple of years ago and loved the region. It is on our list as a possible place to buy a property in the next 5 years. You have been really busy with your cardmaking. I am not making any cards now - too busy with a few swaps (ATCs and postcards) and also my new love of art. I have noticed on our weather forecast that southern Spain has had some rain/wind. Not as bad as Wales though! Ali x #27
ReplyDeleteWell, a couple days of bad weather and you're incredibly productive! Lovely Easter cards. I must say the weather seems very hit and miss...but as a fairly frequent winter visitor, I have learned to be very pragmatic about the weather risks!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've been having a great time with friends and gorgeous cards too. Happy crafty woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteYou've been very busy! Great photos! Dorlene #36
