Good morning brrh. it has gone even colder here, the coldest winter Spain has experienced for over 20 years and I believe Madrid is snowbound. It is not much better in Mojacar, the temperature in my living room when I ventured in there was 14C this morning. No central heating here like in the UK.
So what's on my table today one guess. A jumper desperately needed, hope I can finish it before the cold weather disappears.
Yes Jan, that is your little bag I have found it so useful to keep my measures, pins, scissors etc in. It is waiting to be put in the craft bag along with the knitting to go to Knitting group this morning.
That is me for today short and sweet. Now to link with Julia at stamping-ground.blogspot.com our hostess.
Wish you all a safe and good crafting week.
Happy WOYWDW

Morning Ani. All the best with that knitting - hope it keeps you warm! I had seen on the news how cold a winter you are all having down there - it must come as a shock when you live in perpetual warmth! Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.

Aww, I’m so glad that the little bag is proving useful still - I have a similar one in my knitting bag and all my stitch markers, tapes, scissors etc are in there! I was reading about the terrible snow and cold in Spain, brrrr, that sounds very chilly without any central heating, I hope you’re wrapped up nice and warm.

Thanks for my early morning visit today. It sounds really cold over there at the mo. I love the colour of the jumper you're knitting....just hope you get it knitted soon so you can feel the benefit.

Lovely colour. Funnily enough, as the news out of the US has been so dire, and I have been glued to the TV and away from my messy art desk, I finished one jumper and am to the sleeve cap shaping on both the sleeve of a second. Trying to decide if I want to do the front and back two at a time as well, for as far up as I can. Also skipped watching art videos on my treadmill walk today, and watched sloped bind off techniques instead! I love having multiple crafts to turn to. Enjoy your knitting group and stay safe and well (and warm! Knit fast!)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW, with a late start

ReplyDeleteHi Ani, we've been hearing about the strange weather where you are and it sounds very strange. Good luck with getting the jumper finished quickly. Take care and have a lovely creative week, Angela x23x
ReplyDeleteWe saw the snow in Spain on the news, brrrrr indeed! We haven't had any where I live - the sea-wind/coast is too warm but snow is predicted for the weekend - it won't be as much as you have though... I hope your jumper will grow steadily, keep on knitting dear! Stay warm, healthy and safe. Love from the Netherlands! Marit #31
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the jumper! We are getting some very hot weather here in Australia at the moment so it seems very strange to read of your cold sitting room! Happy WOYWW! Susan #26
ReplyDeleteHi Ani. Brrr is all I can say. We are having relatively warm weather for January here, you must have got all our snow! I'm hoping you have a heater of some sort to keep you warm. When DH and I bought our first house it was mostly heated by a Woodstove, so if I got up before the stove was lit, I had to break the ice off the water left in the kitchen sink. I slept in socks and a touque. So I certainly don't envy you with the cold, and am much happier now in my "old age" to be an a relatively warm house (but I do miss the woodstove heat!). Hopefully it will warm up for you soon and you will have your sunny Spain back again! Good luck with the sweater, knitting it will keep you warm too! Like they say wood keeps you warm twice, when you chop it and when you burn it - maybe the same could be said for sweaters! Have a great week, Lindart #35
