WOYWW 580

Yet another Wednesday we are now over half way through the year and what a year, I know for a fact I will never see another one like 2020.

It has been decided by the Andalucian government that the wearing of masks is to be compulsory nearly everywhere. The exceptions being when eating or drinking but must be worn as you enter restaurants and bars, swimming in the sea and pools. There are going to be some funny suntan marks. The reason for this is because of a small increase in covid cases, which is understandable seeing we are accepting holiday makers into our towns.

I must apologise for not getting round to commenting last week, but I did manage to read most of your WOYWW.

I now have an even busier Wednesday, as I have sewing/knitting group in the morning, Ladies meeting in the afternoon and now a quiz in the evening. Our quiz night used to be Monday but we have changed our bars so now Wednesday is the night.

It has been a very hot week here so I have remained indoors making my Christmas cards, all I have made now have inserts, packaged and priced all ready for the November fairs - if they are allowed to go ahead.

Single cards
                                                Packs of 6 cards

Not 5 minutes before these three photos were taken you couldn't see any desk/table surface at all. Yes three work stations but when needs must.

Hopefully in a few weeks time I will be able to put all card making equipment away and start on some Christmas sewing projects.

Ok that is me for tonight it is after midnight and need my beauty sleep. Will link up with you all tomorrow at https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

  1. Wow Ann you have been busy! Hoping that visors at least will be compulsory in schools in September as they want to avoid masks. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?

  2. I'm glad you're making the most out of Wednesdays - don't think you could fit much more in! Well done on all those C cards - lots of people hate putting the inserts in, it must be the equivalent of me detesting sewing up knitted garments! Love the knitting, hate the sewing up, lol!!

  3. With such an action packed Wednesday I do hope you get to rest and recover on the Thursday. Masks are probably a good idea it has just taken such a long time to make a decision about wearing them in our country. Stay safe as you create.

  4. Very impressed with the Christmas card stash!
Masks are now advised here though not mandatory. I am making plenty for us so we can wear and wash! Don't like wearing them as it does impede breathing!
Happy woyww! Stay safe and keep well. Susan #15

  5. Hiya, have been reading about the new rules in Spain - we are (belatedly) introducing masks in shops from 24/7. Why then is anyone's guess. What a great pile of Christmas cards - I am in the throes of getting mine done as well. Just heard my main Christmas fete won't be going ahead this year, seems they've given up early!! Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #11

  6. Hi Ani, been putting inserts into my cards this week too, I really need to start doing it as I make the cards! I can imagine we are going to have issues when masks in shops are made compulsory in a couple of weeks. I feel sorry for the retail staff who are going to bear the brunt of idiots complaining. Stay Safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X

  7. wow that is a lot of cards! I too am hoping for visors in school as there is not much chance of social distancing. We all have masks here but it is only just now going to be compulsory from next week. Have a lovely week . Soojay #22

  8. That is a huge amount of cards! Well done. We are having to wear masks in the uni, and I am not sure how clearly my lectures will be heard via a mask, but with a microphone it may be doable. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#1)

  9. sounds like you have lots going on each Wednesday now! I am sure people there will be very sensible about masks, it seems to be being made such a big thing here, but makes such sense to me - although not sure about swimming in one - good job I don't swim!! love the boxes of cards. well done. 10. It seems to make sense to me to wear a mask and we have been wearing them from day one when shopping. Anything that helps to prevent it being passed on has got to be good. Sadly we did see a lady in the supermarket take her mask off to sneeze which she did all over one of the shelves, very strange! I am not buying anything anywhere near that shelf Lol! Have a lovely week and a very happy woyww, Angela x14x

  11. It's going to be the new norm with masks, I just wish people that wear the surgical ones learn to dispose of them properly, they can be seen littered everywhere here. Well done on the cards, hope you get to start on the Christmas ones very very soon. Take care & Happy WoywW Tracey x

  12. It sounds as if you have been very busy, inside and outside, Ani! I don't know what to think about the masks. There is so much confusing information about their efficacy. Some medical experts are saying they actually do more harm than good. Personally I do not want to wear one - I can't bear anything over my face! Not that I go out much. I also hate seeing people with them on - you can't see their faces or read their expressions. They all look like bank robbers!!! I am convinced that common sense and social distancing is enough protection and that making the wearing of masks compulsory is overkill.

Thank you for your visit to my blog and for your most interesting comment. No need to apologise - I read your words with great interest! Wheat intolerance (apart from coeliac disease) has increased greatly in recent years, and this is said to be due to a deterioration in the quality of the wheat because of monoculture and the overuse of chemicals. Wheat intolerance is probably exacerbated by the poor state of most Western people's gut microbiome as a result of bad diet generally. This can lead to leaky gut syndrome which causes no end of health problems. As you say, refined wheat is pretty much ubiquitous in processed foods. I now eat very little refined flour - my home-made bread is half-and-half wholemeal and white (I find 100% wholemeal a bit too heavy) and we don't eat this every day - probably only 1 slice 2 or 3 times a week.

When you talk about the cure for cancer, are you by any chance talking about GCMaf? The story behind that is very interesting indeed, and pretty scary, the steps they have taken to prevent its acceptance. I am definitely inclined to agree with you about no longer supporting cancer research. It is an interesting exercise to visit the websites of the various disease charities and see which corporations are sponsoring them, as this can be quite revealing. Vested interests can skew the results of studies, and create a great deal of confusion amongst the medical profession and public alike. Also, I am concerned that MacMillan's are always pushing their fund-raising coffee mornings that encourage the consumption of large quantities of cake! It is now well known that malignant tumours feed on glucose, so cake is the last thing they should be encouraging!

I'm glad you like my cross stitch designs. Actually my eyesight isn't nearly as good as it used to be - I have been told I have incipient cataract on top of presbyopia and astigmatism so to do fine work, I need very good light and good magnification these days!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
