WOYWW 552 Happy New Year 2020

Good morning everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. Did you celebrate last night? As I get older I can't see the point in celebrating a new year that's another year less in my eyes to live. Perhaps that's just me.
So Christmas is over and my table today shows just that. Boxes of Christmas crafts packed away until at least August - yes that's when I start thinking of Christmas in the extreme August heat.
Below was the sun yesterday it came up from the horizon to say good morning then rose up behind a cloud and that was it. As is was so cold (well 12C) yesterday I made a big pan of celery soup.
So hope you all have a crafty 2020 and now to link with Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
Am off to sewing this morning our celebrations here don't stop until 6th January (Three Kings)

  1. I stayed up to watch the fireworks from London on tv, but have never bothered celebrating new year by going out. Hope you have a happy and healthy 2020 Helen

  4. Even if you don't celebrate New Year, Ani, I wish you all the best for the coming year. Nice to see you making a good winter warmer of a soup! Enjoy! Thank you for your visit. Lots of people use the Brother Scan and Cut and other well-known machines and get on well with them - I certainly do recommend getting a machine because it opens up your creativity no end!

    Happy WOYWW,

  5. Hi Ani, I had not intended staying up last night but the dogs don't like all the noise of the fireworks so I didn't get to bed until gone 1.00am. Hope you enjoy the rest of the celebrations. Happy New Year, Angela xXx

  6. Hi Ani, and Happy New year from us both. We just sit up and watch the London firework display. Keeping my Christmas stuff to hand, as I make them all year through normally, and certainly will this year as I'm part of two making groups, and I have no spares left in my box now! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X

  7. Oh dear, you are so right, I always feel a bit melancholy at new year for the same reasons as you.
Not to worry, you enjoy the fact that it is probably much colder here in Manchester and you could be here rather than in Spain needing much more than that delicious pan of soup.
    Hugs, neet xx.

  10. Hi Ani, well, celery soup that’s certainly healthy for you, not sure if I’d like it as much as I like celery! 12c is cold in my books too, and sunrise pretty too, no Christmas till August, I couldn’t cope with that ever. All different eh?
Happy belated WOYWW. Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too, especially with good health in 2020.
    Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x #2 kinda! 😊
