WOYWW 556

WOYWW 556 29th January

Sorry to be late ladies but felt so cosy in bed this morning, so was a mad rush to get out in time for my knit and natter group. Have been out all day, after the morning session went out to lunch with the 'ladies of leisure' afternoon group. We went to a chinese restuarant and sadly we were the only ones in there. Hope this virus hasn't affected their business. People can be over caution sometimes.

Here is my table normal service has resumed. Desperately needed some more cards but have only managed two this week.

Sold 10 cards this morning now I really must get down to making also Valentine and Easter cards required.

Good to see our sun has returned from its winter break these were taken yesterday when I managed to get up before 8.00am the colours were beautiful.

So that is me for this week short and sweet. Will be around to visit hopefully before Saturday.

WOYWW 555

22nd January
Good morning from a cold and wet Spain.

What's on my desk/table this morning well the spirit is there but not the flesh. After going to the first Dames meeting of the year and taking my cards I realised just how many I had sold in the run up to Christmas. So this following week will be making valentine, easter and birthday cards.
I managed to get some of the boxes out but that's where it stopped and the fire called me for a warm.

We have had some cold weather this last week but not as bad as the Alicante region where the airport was closed last week because of a fire and this week because of storms. So if you fancy a warm winter break either don't bother or pack warm clothes. Even the dog didn't go out for a walk for three days.

The bag hung over the bannister rail is my knitting bag ready to take to the knitting group this morning. Today I will be wearing my leg warmers from last week.

That's it for this week now to link with Julia http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/  who hosts our weekly get together.

Thanks for your visits sorry if I don't get round to commenting on all but there are a few I just cannot connect with. I do read all though.

WOYWW 554 15th January

Good morning Ladies and here we are half way through January. Time passes so quickly. Thankfully all the celebrations have now finished and the town hall removed all the roadside decorations yesterday. Next big holiday in our region Dia de Andalucia 28th February.
So on to my desk. well that is not back in action yet, but have been busy with a little sewing and knitting.
My leg warmers finished and ready for wearing feel as I am going back in time, starting on some wrist warmers next.

Next four 'dammit dolls' sold out at Christmas and was asked for some more.
This week must start on some Valentines cards as I will be asked for them in the next weeks.

That is me for today, off to sewing/knitting group we have a new venue for a few weeks while our usual restuarant/bar take a well earned six weeks holiday. Hope it is warm may be a good idea to take my leg warmers.

WOYWW 553 8th January

Well that is all the festivities wrapped up for another year. Here is Spain they ended on Monday with Three Kings, this is when the children receive their presents. On the eve of 3 Kings there are big parades in all towns and cities locally our 3 Kings come by boat into the harbour then mount on their floats and tour the streets throwing sweets to the children. The image below is what a Spanish friend put on her fb saying years ago this playground area would be full of children with their presents but today a sign of the times and most children would have received i pads etc.

The last week has seem some cold weather here, yes you may laugh but when you have become accustomed to the very high temperatures 10C in winter is cold.
So what is on my workdesk this morning - some knitting that I can do in front of the fire. Yes it is good old fashioned leg warmers and some socks.

So that is me will be around to visit later off to my knit and natter and possibly shiver class this morning. Hope to link with Julia our host today http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

WOYWW 552 Happy New Year 2020

Good morning everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. Did you celebrate last night? As I get older I can't see the point in celebrating a new year that's another year less in my eyes to live. Perhaps that's just me.
So Christmas is over and my table today shows just that. Boxes of Christmas crafts packed away until at least August - yes that's when I start thinking of Christmas in the extreme August heat.
Below was the sun yesterday it came up from the horizon to say good morning then rose up behind a cloud and that was it. As is was so cold (well 12C) yesterday I made a big pan of celery soup.
So hope you all have a crafty 2020 and now to link with Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
Am off to sewing this morning our celebrations here don't stop until 6th January (Three Kings)
