Sorry I have been absent but have been at my daughters enjoying being waited on and the luxury of her pool. Only had to come home because of a hospital appointment.
Not much on my desk this morning as this has been my desk for the past week. Yes my relaxer chair and the television to watch the tennis. I have been sewing the teddies together while watching.
So that is me another few days of tennis then down to some serious down sizing. Really need to get all my craft materials sorted.
Off to my sewing/knitting group this morning . hope you all have a good week.
Now to join with the rest of WOYWW at Julia https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
Oh I just love sorting my hooks and needles and cables and other bits. But sadly it never lasts. I made one of those holders, very handy, and rolled, it takes up no space at all! I like making my teddies in the round but it is a challenge to do so. Look forward to seeing the whole little group all made up and ready to go! So cute :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW on the day for a change :D !

I made a knitting needle roll vey similar to yours and it really does the trick! The teddies look fairly similar to make, which pattern do you use? I quite often see call out for teddies for emergency services use when dealing with traumatised kids and would like to help but most patterns involve lots of fiddly bits that need sewing together, not my cup of tea at all. But those look easier to do!

I love your teddies. Finding needles and hooks can be such a pain. I searched everywhere for my 3mm hook last night and eventually realised it had fallen into my pocket!
ReplyDeleteThe tennis is great this year. I’m enjoying it too.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Nice and colourful teddies waiting to be sewn. A needle roll is a great idea. Happy WOYWW. Angela #10
ReplyDeleteI don't really do any knitting right now but I remember the problems I had finding pairs if needles and usually fastened them together with elastic bands and then kept them in a roll which also had smaller pockets for hooks too. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x12x
ReplyDeleteI haven't done any knititng for ages Ani - like the way you are sorting the needles though. Enjoy the tennis! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeletehope the knitting group was fun. sorry I am so late - busy day as I predicted! just playing catch up now. Happy WOYWW Helen #1
ReplyDeleteI made a similar roll thingy for my crochet hooks back in the day and I must say that it worked a test, so with pairs to find for knitting needles I’d say that your work will be very satisfyingly rewarded. I haven’t watched much of the tennis, but it’s been a good year hasnt it, I like it when new faces emerge to stop it all being a bit same old. Glad to hear you’ve been holidaying by the pool, must be very tempting to pack up and go straight back!

ReplyDeleteWell I think that's very sensible o make storage for your needles! I spend half my life rummaging for things. The trick though is to put them back in thew right place - I think that's where Imight be going wrong!! Enjoy the tennis, you look well set up there with your fan!! Happy WOYWW, love n hugs xx Cindy#11
ReplyDeleteIs it not that lovely to be spoiled. I do love that your daughter is doing that for you. Organization is a good thing. I do that often and can not find anything when I need to use it. He he.Have a great week.

Being able to sew something useful is just the ticket in my book, I think the needle roll cases are brilliant. Trying to envisage the teddies as they look quite unusual pre sewing up LOL. Glad you had a relaxing time away. Thanks for the visit BJ#16
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for the needles! That should really help! Too bad you had to forego the pool, something I've always wanted! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #18
