Hi Ladies I'm back. Sorry I have been missing for a few weeks but the heat of the summer has just got to me this year. Everyone is complaining how hot it has been. The hot weather still continues but now temperatures now have dropped to about 28C since we had a terrific rain storm called a Gota Fria. You may have seen on television some of the devastation it caused in some provinces.
Now come to my desk(s) first the computer table is looking very tidy on Tuesday morning. Some Christmas cards waiting for inserts, a bottle of water, and Radio Manchester online to keep me company.
Then down to my work desk waiting for inspiration think it will be Christmas cards as the bits and pieces are already in place.
I've been doing some other work like a little knitting this is a teddy from a Knitables pattern and I have nearly completed his santa outfit.
Also found this wool in my stash and thought it would knit a blanket for the dog.
Over to Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to join all the deskers. Have a good week.
I'm not surprised you couldn't cope with the heat all summer! Even now you are hotter than I would like! Well done for getting prepped for your C cards; I've not given them a thought yet! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking about more Christmas cards as I have made a few so far. But like you the heat this summer and drought conditions make me want to stay inside with air conditioning. I spend time each morning putting fresh water in birdbaths for the poor birds. Happy WOYWW

Spain must be nice in the winter, but it would be unbearable for me in the summer. I can't even cope with the British summers these days LOL! The teddy looks so cute and will be even cuter in his Santa outfit. I'm sure Barney will appreciate the blanket on cooler days. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #17
ReplyDeletewe were in El Campello just before the rains came - it was v hot so i do sympathise!! Interested to see someone who lives out there - we will be in Nerja for 4 weeks in February - a kind of 'do we want to be here in the winter rather than the UK' experiment - any advice gratefully received. The summer here in the UK has been pretty hard on the animals too, my aging cat has really just laid around for weeks. She enjoys the sunshine but she doesn't move a lot!! love your teddy. ReplyDeleteStopping by to say Happy WOYWW! Fonda
ReplyDeleteThe teddy is really lovely, he's got a real personality! Well done for knitting when the temps are so high, I've given up on crocheting my blanket at the moment, it's just been too warm (though nothing like your temps!)

What a great teddy, love him. I'm with Barney, I'm not a lover of heat and pleased it's cooling down here although we have had a fair bit of rain this week. Hope you have a lovely creative week and a very happy woyww, Angela x13x
ReplyDeleteHi Ani, OOh hopefully the temp. continue to fall so it can be a cooler fall soon :) I have nearly an identical view in my studio at the moment Grace our old lab dog is doing the same view in the middle of the floor up here. ~Stacy #21
ReplyDeleteHi Ani glad the weather has cooled down enough to be thinking of cards and working in crafty space, well done on making headway in Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteKeep cool, and love your knitting the bear is soo cute. Don’t forget to share the end results!

My poor sister in law was out on Spain for the storms - said it was dreadful. Glad you are able to craft again - love the teddy. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteoh so tidy :) I find it hard to do anything in the heat! Cute teddy :)
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Gota Fria, so I Googled it - wow. That's one terrible storm, glad you are OK. I guess I should start thinking of Christmas cards...but I'm not! Hopefully your temps will continue to fall until you and Barney are comfortable again. The Teddy Bear looks very cute! Have a great week, and thanks for your visit to mine, Lindart #23
ReplyDeleteHi Ani - missed you! Nice to see you back. Sorry you've been suffering with the heat. It doesn't do me any favours either. Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to be so long replying - been pretty hectic here lately! Sorry you couldn't copy my recipe. I will try and email it to you if I can find a contact email on your blog - I will look later. Been having major problems logging onto my blog this evening and I'm terribly behind as a result!! Anyway, thank you for your commiserations regarding my PIP application. The whole thing is a major nightmare and I'm so sick of it. It's added a lot of stress to my life lately which I could well do without. I'm glad you like my slippers!
ReplyDeleteHappy very belated WOYWW,
