WOYWW 491

Another week gone soon be Christmas. Certainly feels like winter here in Spain the weather has changed dramatically this week with rain and some cold winds.

With colder weather and having to stay indoors more crafting gets done. So this week a jumper I starting knitting for Christmas last year and didn't finish, just needs to be sewn up now and the neck done. I will be taking it to Knit and Natter this morning probably come back and have to undo it as with all the talking we do .......
Really need it for the fairs if the weather continues as all our fairs are held outdoors.

Also finished are two Christmas trees and another four in the process. Spent most of yesterday morning just trying to find the rings to hang them with. Could buy split rings for keys but I didn't want this. You cannot understand the difficulty I have trying to find things where I live. If there is a downside to living here it is the lack of shops etc.

They are both the same size just the camera angle.

Well must away and get ready to go to the Knit and Natter group, need to find my hat, gloves and scarf - no only joking but will certainly need a coat this morning.

Will be around to read all later now to link with Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

  3. Making my rounds in these wee hours. My day will be busy, need to share it with my mom. Played catch up from the past few weeks. And love the process you shared of making those cute little trees. If we were closer I could have given you rings ! When I reorganized "STUFF" I found lots of them. I totally understand living in areas with NO shopping. 40 plus miles to Hobby Lobby and that's all I have to chose from. So I keep a list and order on line, I guess that is the New way. Have a great week.

  4. Ah jumper weather! It’s probably a bit intermiitent in Spain, but nevertheless you need to be warm! Love the colour of the new-last-year jumper, how cheery it will be on a cold day. The trees look fab, worth all the trouble of hunting down the rings. I recognise that feeling if not wanting to use something else over what you have in mind, it becomes quite a compulsion to find the right stuff doesn’t it!

  6. As much as I adore knitting, sewing up is my least fav part of the whole process! But it'll be the perfect thing to do at Knit and Natter, you won't notice the time passing!

  7. Your hanging Tree's look fab now they are all sewn together. I can see an upside to the lack of local shops, just think of all that money you are saving without the temptation at your door.
Have fun at your Knit & natter group & I will keep my fingers crossed that you do not have to undo all you doing's when you return home.
Happy Knit & nattering hugs Tracey #6

  8. Hi Ani, love the trees! It's suddenly gone very cold here too- I think thats the problem, it's not like it's been gradually getting colder is it? Just suddenly gone from quite pleasant to bloody freezing, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #12 X

  11. Ah, sewing up - not my favourite job but it's got to be done. I'm still working on a jacket I started last winter too - nearly done. 😀 Love your Christmas trees but can't get over how different the look depending on the camera angle - and the say the camera doesn't lie! Hope you had fun at the Knit and Natter earlier. Elizabeth X #22

  12. I like those trees. Definitely something different. I would never guess they are the same size. Interesting what a camera can do...Dorlene #24

  14. Thank you for your return visit, Ani, and I’m glad you like our two kitties! They are so beautifully marked - quite the most beautiful kitties we’ve ever had, and such sweet natures too. They are adorable! What a brainwave for your craft shop to have, to install a coffee bar for the husbands lol lol!!! I’m sure other people are like me and can’t shop under pressure (“are you ready yet?” Haha!) and to get the hubbies out of the way, the shop probably does a lot more business, not to mention the profit on the gallons of coffee they must be selling! Maybe this is the beginning of a spouses of craft addicts support group, a sort of “CraftAnon”? I do tell my hubby that my addiction is a lot less expensive and dangerous than cocaine.
