Congratulations on 700 posts of woyww. Here's to the next 300!! Sorry I have not been partaking these last few weeks, but things are running fast here. I have decided to put my house up for sale and move nearer my daughter in the Murcia region. I can't believe all the craft stuff I have, so it has been a radical case of downsizing. I will not be moving until sometime next year but the estate agent said make it as empty as possible!
Picture 1 is my store room (bedroom)where usually you can't see the floor! All wool, material bits etc now boxed up.
Picture 2 is a work in progress thus is a converted shower room where I keep all card making material.
Picture 3 is my living room with the materials I am going through.
I have had many trips down to the bins and the charity shops.
OMG. Moving as a crafter is such a process! But as one who has recently had Dear Wayward Son + Cat return home after many many years, I get the pull of being near family. Good luck with it, and hope it goes sooth. We will be here when you settle. :)

Happy 700! How lovely that you’re going to be nearer your daughter Ani, hope all the sorting and moving goes smoothly. It’s a shock seeing how much stuff we garner though, hope you manage to offload a goodly amount.

I do not envy you at all. I am still trawling through Peter's 'stuff' but fear that what's left will have to go to charity shops and the tip. I dare not think of starting on my crafting stash just yet!!

Just seeing you trying to sort all this is so scary! I wish you all the best in getting it down to a suitable amount before your move. I know that I have stuff from years ago that I will probably never use but keep it just in case, it's crazy and I know it! ReplyDeleteMy word what a task. The trouble is that until someone points it out, you feel that it’s tidy and under control, so it’s entirely normal! Empty as possible is a huge challenge, keep the end goal in sight. It will be lovely to live nearer the fam. I hope the knitting group gave you some normality, and hey…did anyone volunteer??!!!

ReplyDeleteOnly 2 days late in visiting!! Everyone seems to think I am a bit mad doing all this visiting - but it is honestly only the second time this year that I have done so much!! Have hardly seen my family and friends all year.
Oh my! It doesn't take long for stash to multiply, does it... and without ANY effort on our part! I wish you well in your move - always a good idea to get an idea from the estate agent.

Hi Annie, Happy 700!! After my daughter (who single handedly manages to colonise every room in the house but fingers crossed she is now buying her own place) my craft room is probably the biggest stumbling block to us ever moving. I don't envy you the task but good luck!! Love n hugs Cindyxx #14
