WOYWW 564

Oh Ladies thank you so much for all your kind comments and thoughts. As we in Spain begin our second week of isolation you are beginning your first week. It really isn't too bad, we are allowed out to supermarkets (which are very well stocked and everyone is keeping their distance), chemists, pet shop, banks and of course the Spanish can't do without their cigarettes so tobacconists. We also don't have our own dustbins so have to take rubbish to communal bins placed along the beach road.
I have been in the house since last Tuesday and was going out yesterday but the weather was appalling and has poured with rain for days. Hopefully it is supposed to be sunny today.
So what have I been doing with my time well surprising very little.
This was my desk yesterday I am preparing to make my daughters 50th birthday card, have the plan in my head now to transfer onto paper. Then it will be looking through old photographs - no I am not going to embarrass her.

Found this old work mask in amongst the tools etc so have washed it and am going to wear it when visiting the supermarket. Everyone round here are wearing masks of some kind.
Then I thought I might make some out of pretty cotton material.
So watch this space.

Once again thanks for all your wishes and I hope you don't find isolation, lockdown whatever you want to call it that bad. It isn't really as long as you have plenty to do. Also thanks to social media and video calls I don't really feel on my own, well I'm not as I have a dog and cat to talk to!

WOYWW 563 18th March

Well good morning from a 'lockdown' Spain. We have been banned from going out since the weekend (official since Monday) except for emergencies such as food, prescriptions, petrol, bank. Only allowed one person in a car if we go out. Thank goodness our police are strict here and respected, nearly everyone is complying and if you don't there are large fines.

These two photos were taken at lunchtime yesterday when I had to go out for some food and to the bank. Usually very busy as there is a very popular bar/cafe just in front of my car. All bars are closed, it was like a ghost town.

And this inside the supermarket as you can see all the shelves are well stocked.

So what does one do in these circumstances well crafting of course. With the help of my trusty companion QC. I am making Easter cards but wonder if there is much point, all our big Easter parades are cancelled of course. I won't be able to sell them if not allowed out. To the right is my Kindle set up (thanks to my daughter) with Netflix so I have been watching The Stranger and The Crown while crafting.

Here are a few other cards made in one morning.

Thank goodness for social media and my group of friends have decided to phone each other every day to check on each other.

Well that's me hope you are all being sensible. Now to join with the rest of the gang at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
