So seeing as it is Wimbledon I have taken to my chair and knitting - these new born hats something I can do without thinking. I sent a batch off to the UK a while ago then we were asked for this design.
Also knitting some corner to corner squares to complete another blanket.
This has become my morning drink for the summer, coffee and coffee flavoured ice cubes and pour the hot coffee over the ice, delicious.
That's me for this week, fingers crossed for Rafa Nadel although I do like Roger Federer and I suppose I have to support England in the football.
I could never knit in this weather, I used to get so sticky so well done for finding something you can do whilst you enjoy the tennis! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteAww such rewarding makes, it's perfect when you can find something to do whilst watching the TV. Sketching is usually my TV relax. Enjoy the Tennis & making those sweet little hats for those newborns.

I admire you for knitting in the heat, I'm afraid I don't like crocheting, the yarn sticks on my hands. The little hats are very sweet though and take no time to make!

Love the hats Ann. I suppose as Spain are out of the World Cup there is no conflict of interest lol. Have a good week. Sarah #14
ReplyDeleteMorning Ani. I can't really imagine drinking the coffee and ice cubes for breakfast - but I'm glad you are finding it good and refreshing in the heat. Love the little hats. Well done.
ReplyDeleteTake care. god bless.

What an interesting idea - I would never have thought of coffee ice cubes. The bats are adorable. Thanks for sharing. Caro x (#18)
ReplyDeleteI love coffee but can’t bear anything else made with coffee, not sure why, neither can my DIL and she only drinks coffee, hot,

I apologize for visiting so late. I’m having a terrible time with my internet. I’ve even called my provider twice this morning.
ReplyDeleteThose hats are really cute and clever. Bright and cheery, too.
I often have extra coffee and not wanting to pour it out, I turn it into ice cubes. Yours looks absolutely DELICIOUS. Happy WOYWW from # 4.
So glad you had a lovely time when your daughter visited, I understand about all the lovely places you and your husband used to go...they sort of need to be shared don’t they. Am super impressed that the little hats just roll off your needles, how kind you are to do them. I do pour hot coffee over ice cubes (a trick I only learned last year in Idaho!) but had never thought to make the ice coffee flavoured. Genius!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ani, coffee and coffee ice cubes - now that's different! Love the knitted hats! Have a lovely week Heather x #12
ReplyDeleteA good idea to combine Wimbledon with your lovely knitting. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a good day - Hazel, WOYWW 17 x
