Good morning all, although I haven't contributed for a few weeks I have been reading your blogs.
Well this is my work desk this morning - I am back from the UK and this has been loaded out of my suitcase. Something I've longed for, a die cutter not new but my friend has treated herself to the new Gemini and along with her two others said I could have this one. She also gave me loads of dies so you can guess what I will be practising in the next few weeks.
My son has now finished his treatment ending with the six weeks of radiotherapy last Friday and here he is ringing the bell at the Christie hospital.
All patients who finish their treatment ring the bell three times. We now have to wait three months for all the swelling to go down before he can have a scan and we will know if it has worked. Andy thanks you all for the good wishes.
It is really great to be home nothing like your own bed and shower. The weather is still very hot around the mid 30's but I believe it has been in the 40's while I have been away.
This is how pigeons keep cool in the UK. Taken in my friends garden.
Well must get on, back to reality now. Hope you all have a good week.
Hi Ani, so pleased to hear about your son. Fingers crossed now. Lots of good wishes being sent his way. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8. xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. So glad that you enjoyed your trip back to the UK. Must have been wonderful to be there to support your son/family. I so hope that the test results are what you wish for. Ali x #37
ReplyDeleteHi Ani. I'm so pleased the treatment time is over - we understand about the wait - my John had cancer a few years back, and now one of our grandsons is undergoing treatment for cancer in the back of the eye. The wait seems endless. May God give you his peace as you walk forward at this time. How precious that you have been able to come over and spend time with your family.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat - your very own die cutting machine. Enjoy!!! Were you the "anicko" who left a comment on my blog last week. Sorry I couldn't get back to you - my blog host doesn't allow links in that way unfortunately...
Do I spy the makings of another crochet blanket on your desk amidst those amazing dies??
Take care. God bless.

Congrats to your son on completing his treatment, prayers going his way.
ReplyDeleteOne tip about diecutting ..if your going to stand to do it then stand on a cushion. Sounds daft but it stops your back aching! (Useful for doing the I*****g stuff as well).
Have a good week and take care
